Legend Fighting Championship to return to Macau in Sept 2019

Macau (MNA) – Chinese mixed martial arts championship Legend Fighting Championship has announced it will return to Macau for an event on September 14 at MGM Theater.

Under a new partnership with MGM China, the MMA championship will hold its Legend 13 event – the first of several major events lined up over a 12-months period – at the MGM Cotai theatre, which will for the first time be transformed into a fighting venue.

“Macau has major significance for Legend. It was the first international market for us outside of Hong Kong, so we are very pleased to be returning for this historic event,” Matthew Kwok, Legend Fighting Championship Chairman, said in the event’s announcement.

Legend FC’s held its first event Macau in 2012 with with 10 fights held at the Grand Hyatt Ballroom, the last of as series of events held in partnership with Melco Resort’s property City of Dreams.

Founded in 2009 in Hong Kong, mixed martial arts organisation, Legend FCnow focuses mainly on the Greater Chinese viewer market, but inviting national champion fighters from across the Asia-Pacific for its tournaments.
