Four man Sanda tournament set for MGM Theater
Yuan Chunbo VS Liu Lianjie
In the main event of Legend 13, knockout artist Liu Lian Jie returns to meet China’s top submission specialist Yuan Chunbo in a classic striker vs grappler match-up.
The two competitors were originally due to clash in 2016, but an injured Yuan was forced to withdraw from the highly anticipated bout. They are now set to do battle inside the MGM Theatre on 14 September.
Hailing from Southeast China and living in Beijing, Liu is a veteran of Chinese MMA. Trained in the famed Shaolin Temple, Liu has since established himself as a knockout artist with aggressive ground-and-pound, fast hands and a solid wrestling pedigree.
He comes to Legend 13 riding a three-fight win streak, his most recent being a split-decision win over Du Li Le at Legend 12.
Hailing from China’s Northeast and living in Guangzhou, Yuan defeated rising star Yi Zha at Legend 12 with an impressive heel hook submission that had Yi limping out of the cage before the second round, while Yuan had barely broken a sweat.-
Chen Jie VS Adrian Fok
The 28-year-old Fok steps into the Legend FC ‘Bafang’ for the first time to face Chinese grappling sensation Chen Jie inside the prestigious MGM Theater. Hailing out of Crocodile Fight Club in Chongqing, Chen brings a solid BJJ background and will have a slight advantage in the striking department. This was evident when he competed in the Bantamweight Tournament at Legend FC 12 last year, making his way through to the final.
Aerdake Apaer VS Yang Zhangwang
Legend FC introduces a sensational 4-man Sanda tournament that honours the Chinese martial art on the world stage.
Chang Juncheng, Yu Jianhong, Aerdake Apaer, Yang Zhangwang. These four fighters will compete in a 4-man tournament showcasing the art of Sanda. The final will be contested using global MMA rules.
Yi Zha VS Tenglige
Legend 12 fighter Yi Zha returns to Legend 13 for an interesting clash with Teng Lige.
Yi Zha will look to use the full range of his martial arts skills against a striker like Teng Lige.
Zhong Qingya VS Gao Haicang
IIn Legend 12, BJJ master Zhong Qingya used his jiu-jitsu skill to put down his opponent, followed by a round of heavy punches, resulting in a quick technical knockout (TKO).
In Legend 13, he will face Gao Haicang, a stand-up master who is making his debut at Legend FC This is going to be a great stand-up versus jujitsu battle.
